About Áine
I began my pottery journey in 2017 after taking a one day class in wheel thrown, hand built and artisan pottery. Within a couple of years, I invested in my own pottery kiln, to help me practice, refine and perfect my own unique style at my own pace.
I love to make quirky, brightly coloured creations, that bring life and light to any space or situation. That is why I only produce small batches, to ensure every piece is unique, individual and personal.
My creativity draws from the beautiful setting of my studio at the foot of the Sperrin Mountains. Rich in nature, with beautiful mountainous scenery, the skies often play host to local Hot Air Balloon enthusiasts who delight us by flying over our home, this stunning part of the world has woven itself into my work. I'm sure you will be able to see the influence in my collections, linked below.
The power of this place has also informed my other great passion Pre-Loved Homeware. In my home, I have collated many beautiful preloved pieces of furniture and homeware to ensure that I use a more sustainable approach to living. To encourage others to do the same, I've brought together a collection of Pre-loved Homeware pieces so that they too can find new homes and new uses.
